About
A picturesque 75-acre wildlife sanctuary with one-third mile of pristine Lake Michigan beach. Over 170 bird species have been recorded, there are warbler and monarch butterfly migrations, shore and water bird viewing.
The manor house was built by members of the Morton (salt) family, and the grounds contain an arboretum with two Michigan Champion trees, including a Sequoia which has prevailed in Michigan's diverse four-season climate.
