This church was designed by T.P. Barber with two domed roofs and the buff-colored brick in the "Old Mission" style. Built in 1907 for over $14,300, it was the first property in town to have concrete sidewalks and iron hitching posts. The building was lighted by electricity and at the time was considered to be "one of the most modern and commodious churches formed on the Western Slope". The dedication sermon was given by Colorado Governor Henry Butchtel.
