Built by J.L. Oliver in 1898, this two-story home has a basement composed of double thick brick walls. Mr. Oliver was one of Palisade's first orchardists who transported water from the river to irrigate his orchards before irrigation canals were functioning. Oliver is also on record for suggesting the name of "Palisade".
