Interactive evening light installation during the Old Mill Junction Night Market.

The Harvest Light Interactive Installation combines light, sound, and motion to celebrate Colorado’s agricultural heritage.
As visitors walk through the installation, motion sensors trigger shifting amber lights and subtle soundscapes inspired by wind through wheat fields.
The installation is especially popular during evening community events and seasonal markets.
"I wanted visitors to experience heritage not as something static, but as something living and responsive. Harvest Light transforms movement into illumination, allowing every visitor to influence the artwork through their presence. The warm amber tones are inspired by Colorado wheat fields at sunset, while the subtle soundscape echoes wind moving across open landscapes. Together, the lights and sounds create a shared sensory memory of the agricultural traditions that helped shape communities throughout the region. My favorite moments occur when strangers unknowingly collaborate—walking through the installation together and creating patterns of light that could not exist without participation. In that way, the artwork becomes a reflection of community itself." -Maggie Richards
