About
Christian medieval architecture inspired this Gothic Revival church, whose pointed-arch windows and steeply pitched roof depart sharply from the classicism of Windsor's Federal and Greek Revival buildings. The First Unitarian Society built it in 1846 after meeting in the old Court House on Courthouse Square. When the church was moved back on its lot in 1895 it was elevated to make room for a vestry, and stained glass windows were added.
