The Federal-style house was erected by Luther Mills in 1806.
It was later home to Carlos Coolidge, a patent attorney who served as governor of Vermont from 1848 to 1850.
Coolidge spent his entire life in Windsor, leaving only to earn degrees at Middlebury College.
The house shows successive Gothic Revival and Italianate updates, including scroll-sawn porch details and bay windows.
